St. Patrick Parish unites with Immaculate Conception and Sacred Heart Parishes to form ONE parish.
On November 30, 2011, the three Catholic parishes of Amador County came together as one. The new parish is now known as St. Katharine Drexel Parish, named after the country's second-born American saint. Most Reverend Jaime Soto, Bishop of the Diocese of Sacramento, proclaimed the new name at a special ceremony held at the Parish Center in Martell (formerly referred to as the Amador Catholic Center). The ceremony included the installation of Reverend Lawrence Beck as Pastor of St. Katharine Drexel Parish.
The new parish includes the six Catholic churches in Amador County: Immaculate Conception in Sutter Creek, Our Lady of the Pines in Pioneer, Sacred Heart of Jesus in Ione, St. Bernard in Volcano, St. Mary of the Mountains in Plymouth, and St. Patrick in Jackson. The St. Katharine Drexel Parish Center in Martell houses a chapel as well as the parish office.
We are in the process of combining the information from the individual three parish websites, including the information on this site for St. Patrick Parish. Please visit the main website, http://stkatharinedrexel.com, which has become the home page for St. Katharine Drexel Parish. Until this process is complete, you can still click on the navigation links at left for information specific to St. Patrick, St. Bernard, and Our Lady of the Pines.
Thank you for your patience during this changeover process. Please contact the webmaster at webmaster@stkatharinedrexel.com if you have any comments or questions.
