   FAITH FORMATION REPORT - MAY 14, 2008

  • First-Eighth Grade. Classes and celebration of the sacraments are all completed.
  • Youth Group.
    • A "Dinner in a Bag" fundraiser was a success.  The efforts of parents and youth brought in approximately $800.  The funds raised will go to fund the Youth Group's 2009 Mission Trip.
    • The last session for the youth is Sunday, May 18.  Time will be spent on both evaluation of the past year and discussion of possible topics for next year.  Janice and her team will then meet during the summer to formalize the plans.
    • The Graduation Mass will be celebrated on June 1 at 11 AM at St. Patrick.  Letters of invitation have been sent to all high school graduates in the parish.  Continuing with tradition, each senior is asked to choose an object that symbolizes what was most important to him or her during the high school years and write a short paragraph about its meaning.  Each graduate will carry in their symbol as what they have written is read aloud.
  • Catechist Formation.
    • Sunday May 18, the parish will hold the annual recognition dinner for all those involved in all areas of Faith Formation.
    • Saturday, May 31, catechists from 1st - 8th Grades will gather for our last meeting.  The focus will be on evaluating the past year.
  • Adult Formation. The women’s study group will continue to meet over the summer.
  • RCIA. No report.
  • RCIA Adapted for Children. No report .
